Refer to the Horsethief-Trabuco section for driving instructions. The parking area for the Holy Jim Trail is on the left about a mile before the Horsethief-Trabuco trailhead. There will be other cars parked there, and the trailhead is marked by a sign.

There are two exits toward the north from the parking area. Take the one on the right. The other one dead ends after a few hundred feet.
