This profile shows the round trip distance to be 9.1 miles, but the graph neglects the "sqiggle factor". There are many small zigzags in footpaths that do not show up on a map, and these little detours cause the actual distance to be greater than that shown on the map. The amount of vertical travel also increases the total distance walked, although this increase is much less than the sum of the elevation changes. The actual round trip distance is probably 10 to 11 miles.

The graph assumes that the Horsethief trail is climbed first. Reverse it left to right if the Trabuco Trail is climbed first.
